Additional storage on the outer left wall for a gourmet insert or two. Base on wheels. Bought the Taco a 10k birthday present. Decided I would forego the remaining free year of maintenance after reading some opinions/experiences. Going to tackle the second oil change here soon. Double systainer drawers installed. Not the final layout on some of these because I planned for a lot of growth. Can hold 16 just in these, with room for about six to eight more elsewhere if it ever gets that crazy. Ordered all my drawer slides, and until they get h

Ordered all my drawer slides, and until they get here I’m tackling some other small improvements. Cut down my huge saw blade storage to fit a new space and turned a dowel for my dado stack to fit in my drill press cabinet. Moved my battery chargers to the MFT where I use them the most. #festool rails over to where nothing thicker can be mounted to the wall. And temporarily mounting an old cabinet to see what the use case for a new one is over the miter saw.

Almost ready for dirt. Need to chop off the points at the corners, and extend the two side walls back just a bit further into the hill. Figure 10-12 more blocks at most. Then dirt, then mesh, then caps. Pavers will be in the plan for maybe fall. #patiospace #retainingwall #smallworkshop #sweatequity

My replacement Triton chuck arrived today and I go

My replacement Triton chuck arrived today and I got it installed. The old one got cross-threaded and was ruined. I had a bit of trouble with it, so let me share some straightforward instructions to anyone who follows.
1) remove black top via two screws.
2) remove both brushes
3) move aside electronics jello mold
4) remove plastic nut at the top of the shaft
5) set router down with business end pointing away. Chuck lock should ideally be on the right
6) use compressed air on fan blades on the left side to spin chuck up to speed. This would be clockwise if you were looking down the shaft from the bottom.
7) Depress chuck lock. If you’ve done this correctly then the chuck will spin down off the shaft.
Reassemble everything to include your new chuck. Plunging a bit into wood at speed should set the chuck but I also did a bit of reverse fan blade spin and depress the lock just for good measure.
For $30 shipped I have this router working again. Not sure what I’ll do with it, but at worst it is a spare.
