(Part One of a new series)
All the material I’ll need for this project was obtained yesterday at Home Depot. It isn’t 8/4 stock, but the 2x6x96 boards should work okay, all 23 of them. Two 4x4x96 were also bought, along with a 1x12x48 board to be cut up for use as stickers. I still have to obtain a 10mm Domino cutter and a mess of mahogany Dominos.
As much as I don’t want to venture out to the workshop in this heat, cutting the stickers is my job today. I also need to figure out how much, if any, of the stock I can store in my shop to acclimate. It would obviously be easier if I could access it immediately when I needed it, but such are the trials of a small shop. The 4-by stock is being delivered today so I can at least get started on the table legs tomorrow.
I’m going to try and mitigate the heat as much as possible by working in the mornings. I don’t have a timetable for getting this project done, but would like to by about the time my school starts up in mid-August. Eight weeks, it might be possible.
